I've worked across many sectors — legal, energy, education — with clients ranging from established names like British Gas, Nestlé and ExxonMobil through to startups and charities.
I get involved early, fully understanding the actual problems that need solving and the people they affect. Starting with research, prototyping, testing and working through to finalising UI design and delivery so decisions don't get lost along the way. I've created design systems, presented to senior stakeholders, and worked as part of bigger cross-functional teams when needed.
I work best with organisations that are engaged with their users and design using data and feedback, not just internal opinion. Twenty years in, I still enjoy the moment a messy problem turns into something people can actually use — and whatever stage a project's at, I'd genuinely like to hear about it.
